AFTER a few small hiccups trying to
find a suitable base camp, BlazeAid
finally has a home at PIRSA's Lenswood
The volunteer organisation -- which helps
rural folks following natural disaster -- is now
aiding those affected by the Sampson Flat
BlazeAid administrator Lyn Bailey said
teams had been working across the fire zone
to help fire victims on the road to recovery.
Volunteers include Ross Murray, Adelaide,
Frank Barber, Wallan, Vic, Glenys Hendren,
Maryborough, Qld, and John Denton, Mount

"Traditionally our camps get people from all
over the country," Ms Bailey said.
"Because we are close to the suburbs, we are
getting a lot of local volunteers."
She encouraged affected landholders to
register with BlazeAid. Potential volunteers
were also asked to make contact with camp
