RAS -- Farm Expo
ARM Expo has been at the
Royal Adelaide Show for 11
years, showcasing primary
industries, related services and
value-added products. It continues
to grow in popularity providing an
opportunity for the public to experi-
ence an insight into farming life.
Farmers will be given long overdue
recognition for the invaluable role
they play in our society as part of the
ongoing initiative launched last year.
Thank a Farmer will see goods and
animals produced by farmers high-
lighted at the show, with the aim of
encouraging patrons -- particularly
city dwellers -- to consider how
much we need to thank farmers.

lives, should farmers decided not to
farm," he said.
"Food is essential to sustain life
and, as our population grows, food
security becomes more important.
But our reliance on farmers and agri-
culture is a lot broader than just
"Increasing the profile of South
Australia's agricultural producers is
one of the Society's key goals and we
believe the Thank a Farmer program
will help raise show-goers' aware-
ness in a fun, educational way."
Thank a Farmer will be at Farm
Expo and at various sites
throughtout show week.
